Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Olin’s U.S. sites located?
Olin has branched out throughout the United States – from New York to California. Our career postings can be searched by location, here.

What is the difference between a Co-Op and Internship at Olin?
Co-Ops are four-month terms and take place during school semesters. The spring term is January through May, and the fall term is typically August through December.

Summer internship terms take place during the summer months of May through August. We tailor the start and end dates around your school schedules.

We’re an engaged and inclusive team, therefore all our co-ops and interns work at least 40 hours each week onsite (remote work is not available for these positions).

Technical students interested in extending their terms with Olin may be offered continuous internships. These students, located near Olin locations, work 20+ hours onsite each week during normal Olin business hours.

Business majors also have the opportunity to work onsite at an Olin location during normal business hours while going to school.

Is housing available for co-ops and interns?
Olin provides housing assistance for those who are relocating.

Does Olin provide sponsorship to candidates who require an employment visa to work in the United States?
We are not able to offer sponsorship for Intern, Co-op and Full-Time positions. In the U.S., the ever-changing complexity of work and student visas prohibits us from assisting with this process.

What are the requirements for a co-op or internship position?
All students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in the discipline-specific area are eligible. Students must have completed their sophomore year prior to their first assignment at Olin. Students must have the ability to work full time throughout the term and any schoolwork must be completed outside of work hours.

How do I find out about college-level positions?
Our job posting are all available here. Select “College Recruiting” in the “Olin Department” field to find all positions geared toward actively enrolled students. Be sure to also sign up here for job alerts to be notified of newly added positions.

When will I be contacted about my application?
We regularly review candidates who have applied for open positions and evaluate their credentials against the job profile. You will be notified as updates are made throughout the hiring process.
